System Options are system-wide default settings that control how the system interfaces with your email provider to send email from Net•Yield. You must have the System Options settings in place in order to send eMessages, transactions, and reports via email.
See System Options for a list of System Options fields.
1. At the System Errors eMail Sender field, enter the email address for your Net•Yield system administrator to send them a confirming email when fatal system errors are detected on other user workstations. This must be a valid email address.
2. At the SMTP (simple mail transfer protocol) eMail Sender field, enter the default email account that you want to use as the email sender when you send forms, reports, and eMessages from Net•Yield. For example: Accounting@MyCompany.com or Corporate@MyCompany.com. This must be a valid SMTP account.
3. Enter the address of your SMTP server provider. For example: SMTP.MyProvider.com. If your SMTP service provided requires a specific port number , enter the SMTP server address followed by a " : " and the port number . For Example: MyProvider.com:1234
4. At the SMPT Login User Name field, enter the user name assigned by your provider to log in to your SMTP account.
5. Enter the password assigned by your provider to log in to your SMPT account. The password must be entered twice for accuracy.
6. At the Fax Service provider field, enter the fax service provider web site address if you use a web-based fax service.
7. At the Old Code Conversion Mode field, enter Y (Y=yes) to allow access to the Old ID fields for item, customer, route, broker, vendor, terms, sales rep, and/or account that are used as part of the system conversion process from your old system to Net•Yield. If set to Y, the Remove Test Data option will be available from Business Models to remove test transactions entered as part of the training phase of the Net•Yield implementation. If set to N (N=no) the Old ID fields will not be available.
Note: It is highly recommended that the Old Code Conversion Mode setting be set to N (N=no) once the Net•Yield system has been implemented so that the Remove Test Data option is not available in Business Models. If this process is run in the live system, all information entered will be lost; only tables and System Options will be left in the system.
